Mr. Patil holds a degree in Master of Engineering and has broad-based, hands-on experience with specialization in the field of rail vehicles and related railroad equipment structural design and analysis, manufacturing techniques, and procurement management. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in several states. Mr. Patil has been involved in commuter, gallery, locomotives, rapid transit, and light rail vehicles, including both the new and rehabilitated car procurements for several authorities, including the Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA), Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), Maryland Transit Administration (MTA), NJ Transit, The Peninsula Corridor JPB CalTrain, New York City Transit (NYCT), and Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA). His primary responsibilities as an engineer include stress analysis reviews, design drawing/document review, and load test witnessing to verify compliance to client specifications, American Public Transportation Association (APTA) standards and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regulations.
